Journal - What are your hobbies and extra curricular activities? Where do you spend your free time? Tell me three of your favorite things (movies, TV show, magazine, sport, color, etc.) My hobbies and extra curricular activities are baseball, basketball, and football. I very much enjoy playing those games because they are a fun time. I spend my free time in my basement playing Skyrim. My favorite show is the Walking dead my favorite movie is shawshank redemption and my favorite color is blue or orange.

Journal - What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.
Some qualities that make a presentation good are speaker audience interaction. I find it easier to listen if the speaker is also excited about what he or she is talking about. You can make a boring speech a good one by getting the audience interacted. You have to let them get up and move around if possible and keep them entertained. The worst thing you can do is have a monotone voice that puts somebody to sleep faster than a lullaby.

Journal - Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it."
That statement is true but also not true at the same time. While you can use just about any image you want on the internet you have to cite where you got it from. If you don't say where you got the image from then you can get in big trouble, no matter where you are or what you're doing.

Journal - What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety
There are many reasons for online safety, one of the big reasons is because of stalkers. These days just about anybody can find anything they want about somebody. You could even find out there bed time if you wanted to. That's not all though they could find out where you live and stalk you nonstop and finally when you accidentally throw away a paper you shouldn't have, like something with your social security number, boom identity theft.
You can do many things to protect yourself though, most people don't take the time to even though it only takes 5 extra seconds. On twitter Instagram and many other social media websites you can make your account private so only people of your choice can follow you. This can make it much harder for people to find information on you and they might even give up and move on.
My sisters once had a problem with online safety because they didn't have their Facebook accounts on private so anybody could look at it. They ended up getting stalked by some random guy out there and my mom eventually called the police. Luckily nothing has happened since but that is why you should never share personal information on social media web sites.

Journal - Tell me what you know about Web 2.0. List example Web 2.0 sites. Are you on any sites that let you “post” information? What are those sites? How often do you use them? What do you post on them?
My favorite web 2.0 website is Twitter. Mainly, because I don't own any other web 2.0 sites that I use very often. Twitter is really fun because you can post anything you would like to, but i would advise to only post stuff you're comfortable with everybody knowing. Once you post something on any web 2.0 site it is out there forever and anybody can see it. You can post anything you want but if you post something bad or offensive then you could get in big trouble. For example my sisters friend commented something rude about the police and was fined for it. Another example is I know somebody who posted a picture with alcoholic beverages and was not allowed to attend the university of their choice. So I usually post stuff that's going on as long as it's clean

Journal - After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."
After watching that speech by Ashton Kutcher I took away that you should always try your hardest and be kind to everybody in the world. If they aren't nice back then just don't worry about it and keep being nice. He talked about many things but his main points were about never giving up and never just going with the flow. Always make an effort to be extraordinary no matter what!!
